Antigone.
Antigone, by Sophocles is a play about a woman, both of her brothers are kings and they decided to attack each other. One of them dies a hero, and the other dies an animal. So the new elected king decides that the animal cannot be buried so that he can't pass on to the next life, but the sister Antigone does it anyway. Burying him was punishable by death, so he puts Antigone in a cave without food or water, when he realizes he was wrong he is too late. His son who was soon to marry Antigone already found her dead and killed himself, and when the king's wife found out about the death of her son, she killed herself. King Creon loses everything because he was stubborn and too prideful.
I really liked this play because even though there was a lot of big words it was intense, and for Ancient Greece it was pretty well thought out, it was way too long so I don't want to read it again either. But I would see a movie.

Of Mice and Men
Of Mice and Men follows two men, George and Lennie as they try to find work during The Great Depression. It is so classic because of all the hatred and discrimination that we see take place in this time zone. Discrimination towards African Americans, women, the Mentally Challenged, and the elderly.
I really enjoyed this book because it felt like a movie. All of the dialogue tells the story for you, not the narrator, plus the characters are so fun to play.

The Art of Racing in the Rain, is a book that follows a families rough times from the perspective of their dog, Enzo. We see the father Denny, as he loses his wife, daughter, and eventually his dog. The story is very beautiful because of Enzo's outlook on all situations.
This book was amazing, probably the best one out of all because of the narrator and characters.

I really liked this book because it showed the truth behind mourning a loss, and how you can't always just make a quick recovery. I also liked the how the author captured the teenage youth and all the adventures that they take part on.
