Step 1: Choosing a Modern Day Issue in the Real World.
Choosing a modern day issue was a simple task for me because Police Brutality is a very relevant problem in our society today. It is something that really bothers me because of Police believing that they have more power and acting condescending towards the citizens who fund them. The recent Michael Brown case had also inspired me to shed light on some not so popular cases.

Step 2: Researching the Issue.
We basically researched the issue and created a fact sheet. It contained facts and reliable sources that could back up those facts. It was actually good to understand more about my opinion and to understand the other side of the argument.

Step 3: Writing a Formal Letter to Real World Audience.
The part of the step 3 that was hardest for me, was finding the right audience. I didn't know who could really put an end to police misconduct. The mayor? The president? No. They would probably dismiss my letter and I would get a automated response. So I decided to send to the SDPD, at least with them I knew they would take my problem seriously and try to come up with a solution.

Step 4: Posting any Responses.
I haven't got a response from the San Diego Police Department yet, but I intend to.

Step 5: Writing a Less Formal 2 Column Script Targeted Towards an Informal Audience.
This step was actually the first step in Multimedia class. We had gone from all research in Humanities to writing a script with photo ideas to go along with them in Multimedia. We partnered up and my partner and I decided to use her topic because I felt like mine was too serious to joke around with.

Step 6: Recording the Voice.
My partner decided to record the voice, because she was more experienced with Garageband whereas I was more experienced in Photoshop which was where we were making the pictures.

Step 7: Finding and Editing Images.
Finding the images was pretty easy. Just HD Images through Google Images, we edited the images with the program Photoshop, and my partner and I worked as a very good team, so it worked very well.
Step 8: Editing the Video.
We edited the video with Final Cut Pro, which was difficult because my partner and I were both new to the program. It was difficult however, we got over the challenge through asking questions and listening to lessons.
Step 9: Posting the Video.
Posting the video was probably the easiest and greatest part of the project. We put it in our teachers flash drive and he posted it. But we did have to do some work. We had to create a title, write a description, picking a picture that best represents our video, and tags. The reason why it was the best part of the process was because seeing that our video was finally done was very exiting and we were very proud (VIDEO SEEN ABOVE).

What is the most valuable thing you learned from this project?
The use of new programs, definitely. I thought I was really good at Photoshop, turns out I'm not. I also got to learn how to use FInal Cut because I never used it before. With Photoshop I learned a lot, I became much better at editing faster, and now I feel that I can help anyone.
What did you do that helped you be successful with this project?
The thing that I did that helped me the most was my personal experiences before the project. I knew the basics of Photoshop, which put me way ahead of other groups and it's we were one of the groups who finished first.
What advice would you give to students who will do this project next year?
I would tell those students that it is not easy. It is actually very difficult, the programs that we used take some time to learn, and it isn't just an easy a like you'd think.
What did your teachers do well for this project?
My teacher did many things well, the best part was the question system. He made it so that we could ask for either help or feedback and eventually depending where you were on the list he would get to you. It wasn't hard to get him to help you, and everyone wasn't bombarding him with questions.
How could your teachers make this project better?
I feel like if groups partnered up before hand in the Humanities end, that their would be less argument on whose topic they choose. It sucked letting go of a passion of mine, and that shouldn't have to happen again.
